QM Select members are able to reserve equipment up to a week in advance. Bookings are preferred to enable us to anticipate arrivals yet are not mandatory. Continuation of sailing after the booked period is welcomed, subject to availability.RIGGING Assistance with rigging and launching is always available, with dedicated staff at weekends. QM Select members are encouraged to learn how the range of equipment is rigged, launched and stored.
From beginners upwards, skills and confidence afloat can be improved through training and we have a full range of RYA courses which are included free of charge. Group Sail or Windsurf Coaching sessions are included once per month for those who have achieved RYA Level 2 or RYA Start Windsurfing as preparation for further courses. 1:1 tuition is a great way to give skills and confidence a boost, with sessions available to QM Select members at reduced rates.
Sailing QM Select members holding the RYA Start Racing certificate or with equivalent experience are welcome to participate in Club Racing. This takes place on Sunday mornings all year round, on Bank Holidays and on Wednesday evenings from April to September.
Sailing and windsurfing with safety cover is available 7 days a week from April to September and Wednesday-Sunday from October to March. Plenty of evening sailing is available when the wind is up. Full details of opening hours are on our website.
A guest can be invited to crew for a QM Select member in a double-handed dinghy 6 times per year free of charge with subsequent visits costing £10. Under 16s may crew for free. Club members may helm (with the appropriate experience) or crew with a QM Select member for free.
EQUIPMENT AND THIRD PARTY COVER
Monthly fees include damage-waiver cover for accidental damage to equipment (no excess) plus third party liability cover (£200 excess).
